 Brief History
Before 1962, the library moved around. The old library building was completed in 1962. In 1992 a new library building was completed, which serves as the school library now.In 1992, automation was installed. DYNIX, the library automated system, was implemented.In 1998,the library purchased web-based server, and started constructing "WWW world wide web" to offer the on-line library service.

The library moved around. It was in the classrooms of Red Hall, Hsi-Chen Hall (old building), and the Student Activities Center. A library building was completed in 1962. |

The school was reorganized as "Taiwan Provincial Tainan Teachers School". The library was under the supervision of Academic Affairs Office. A director was assigned to coordinate the general library affairs. Several assistants and staff members were also hired for the library business. |
| 1987 |
The school was reorganized as "Taiwan Provincial Tainan Teachers College". The library becomes a first-level administrative unit. A curator was assigned to coordinate the general library affairs. Four divisions were established for the library business of acquisition, cataloguing, reader services and information resources, and collections. Each division had a coordinator and several staff members. |
| 1992 |
A new library building was completed. The library was relocated to this new building. Automation was installed. DYNIX, the library automated system was implemented. |
| 1993 |
The system division was established for the matters of developing and maintaining an automated library system.
A full-time director was assigned to the system division.
A full-time director was assigned to the cataloguing division.
The other three directors were the teachers in this college. |

A full-time director was assigned to the division of reader services and information resources. |
| 1998 |
The library purchased web-based server, and started constructing the "WWW world wide web" to offer the on-line library service. |

The wireless internet system of the library was established in December. |
| 2003 |
The multimedia and instructional-resource centers were established in March. Rongyu branch library was established in December. |
| 2004 |
The order for E-newspapers (database) begins, and to cancel back copy progressively to save collecting room. |
| 2005 |
The alumnus library cards turn a cash deposit into membership fee. |
| 2006 |
The digital of Japanese books have begun.
The library buys an automatic system¡XHORIZON online.
¡§The Literature and History Information of Taiwan¡¨ is established.
The self-service borrowing machine is installed to provide readers borrowing books by themselves. |
| 2007 |
The B1 of library is opened to add books and using space for readers.
The search system of library electronic information online.
¡§The Digital Book Reservation Museum of Bo Yang¡¨ website is established. |
